The Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme (MWIS) were introduced in June 2011. When the building owner received a statutory notice issued by the Building Authority (BA), they are required to appoint a Registered Inspectors (RIs) and Qualified Persons (QPs) to carry out prescribed inspections and prescribed repairs of their buildings and windows.

Our prescribed building professionals will

• issue a certification and file formal submission to Buildings Department if there is no defect requiring repair works under the legislation; and
• assist in appointment of Registered Building Contractor to carry out the repair works and monitor the works quality and cost in a professional manner.
